The original construction on the property began in 1985 and was completed in 1992, commissioned by Ford Motor Company as a private vehicle evaluation center in Collier County, Florida. Over six miles of meticulously engineered road surfaces were laid across 531 acres, including one of the only dead-flat 2.1-mile, three-lane straightaways in the world along with a dynamic 1.1-mile ride-and-handling loop. 2002
An Automotive Legacy
In 2002, the American icon Harley-Davidson Motor Company acquired the property recognizing the same qualities that had drawn Ford: world-class road surfaces, a controlled private environment, and the warm Florida climate that allowed year-round testing impossible elsewhere in the country. For over a decade, the rumble of American motorcycles echoed across these grounds as Harley-Davidson's engineers put next-generation bikes through their development paces - adding yet another storied chapter to the land's rich performance heritage.
2013
Where Performance Icons Converged
In April 2013, Chrysler Group LLC purchased the property and renamed it the Chrysler Florida Evaluation Center, becoming a critical node in one of the most sophisticated vehicle development networks in the world. Under Chrysler, and later Stellantis, the grounds were used to develop and validate some of the most iconic vehicles in recent American automotive history, including Dodge Viper, Challenger and Charger including performance variants like the SRT Hellcat and SRT Demon prototypes right here in Collier County.

Today, the facility continues its decades-long tradition of automotive excellence, operating as an active testing destination used by manufacturers across the industry.
